Health Plans on the Health Insurance Marketplace

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) or Obamacare is a U.S. federal law signed into law by Pres. Barack Obama on Mar 23. 2010. The ACA is the most significant overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system since the passage of Medicaid and Medicare. A fundamental goal of the ACA was to create a competitive marketplace (The Health Insurance Marketplace) that gives you more information about your health insurance options where you can clearly compare prices and benefits. The online Health Insurance Marketplace is regulated and administered by either the state or federal government. Consumers can purchase private health insurance plans beginning Oct 1. 2013, with coverage starting Jan 1. 2014. Most individuals with incomes between 100%-400% of the federal poverty level will be eligible to receive subsidies to help cover the cost of premiums. MedicareHelp.org is here to help you find the best insurance on the Health Insurance Marketplace at the lowest price.
